Typically, every movie that shows excessive smoking has themes related to depression, sadness or violence.Movies are an extension of reality, they say, and people from the Peninsula Medical School in England reinforces that smoking is not for the happy people.

Dr. Iain Lang, the study’s leader found out in a study involving 9176 people aged 50 and above that smoking does not cause any pleasure at all. “We found no evidence to support the claim that smoking is associated with pleasure…” he said.

Dr Lang also said that although people smoke because of the so called “pleasure” they get from it, in fact, they are just smoking because they are addicted.

Results also show that smoking is also linked to a poorer overall quality of life, that smoking people are less than happy in their lives.
