    When the Office for National Statistics (ONS) has published its initial investigations into subjective wellbeing. Counterintuitively, this found a surprising 76% of Britons rated satisfaction with their lives at seven out of 10, or higher.
    The ONS has also begun a consultation on the domains and measures that should be included in a National Index of Wellbeing.
    This process ends on 23 January. Should we start the New Year by letting government know exactly what we think of its “happiness index”?
