It's good to be grateful
Happy Thanksgiving all I hope you have much to be thankful for. In retrospect, even many of the bad times I have had in my life, I am thankful for. These bad times helped prepare me for the things I am doing today. So, if this message finds you in a bad period, perhaps this is preparing you for something good in the future. Sometimes things happen for a reason. On the trip yesterday to my in-laws 460 miles away, we forgot my daughters glasses, which we had to drive back, costing 35 minutes. Then somehow I missed interchange to one of the highways, which cost us another 25 minutes, since we now needed to take another highway. We stopped for 1.799 gas, yea As we were nearing L.A., crawling in traffic at 1pm, so more delays, I was thinking of the hour plus we lost and perhaps would have missed the traffic. As we were in traffic, my brother in law called and asked to be picked up. My son and BIL had a great talk in the back seat of our mini van, one I wish my son would listen to when I would talk to him. My wife reminded me that if these delays didnt occur, we would have been at her parents house on time and not picked up her brother 60 miles would probably take a 4-6 hour round trip in L.A. traffic. Because of these delays, my college aged BIL got to speak to my college bound son about the "real life" issues of moving away from home. Happy Thanksgiving all
