“Spiritual DNA: What Jesus Said” book

Filed under: Articles, News — Tags: , Dos @ 11:09 am

A new book from Ron Actis that shows the spiritual characteristics of a person’s world view in relation to God’s word will be introduced to the public; whether Christians or Non-Christians.

Aptly titled “Spiritual DNA: What Jesus Said,” is about the unforgettable experience of Helen Schucman, an atheist, and a professor of medical psychology at Columbia University when she started receiving daily messages in 1965 from an inner voice which she later concluded as Jesus’. She wrote everything she heard and was able to fill almost 30 notebooks.

Helen turned over her writings to a foundation which handled and managed its use until April 27, 2004 when judge Robert Sweet has decided to release the text to the public.

“I condensed the 1200 pages of printed words of Schucman’s A Course in Miracles to 360 pages, (TBD) extracting the core concepts and identifying the DNA, to make it easier to read and understand. However, the words, sentences and passages in the text are those of Jesus. I also composed a prayer which captures the essence of the narrative to serve as a daily reminder of what Jesus professed, ” Actis said. He added that the concepts are so profound that he is convinced that no person on earth could have made them up.

Actis said this is the first time that men received what Jesus wants us to be.

“…their authenticity has never been disputed. It boggles my mind when I think of the significance of His message. His words deepen the understanding of the teachings of the parables in the Bible and extend their concepts…” Actis testified.

The author concluded that maybe this is Jesus’ way of getting the people’s attention; to be vigilant to join Him in the second coming.

According to Actis, he identified the key steps to peace of mind and happiness:

• Live in the present - the moment - and the future will take care of itself. Keep negative memories of the past and negative thoughts out of your mind.

• See others as perfect and overlook their faults. See Jesus and yourself in all of them, and be kind and helpful to them.

• When you sense a negative emotion or thought coming on, immediately think, “What would Jesus think?” Overlook what caused it, let it go and proceed to live in the moment.

• Seek guidance from the Holy Spirit in you, in how to think and behave as God created you.
