This is one of our favorite books in the Happiness book category….and we swear that the similarity between the book slogan “Finding Modern Truth in Ancient Wisdom” and our site’s tagline, “Where the Science of Happiness meets Ancient Wisdom” is pure coincidence. Or perhaps the fact that we picked a similar tagline makes it pretty obvious why we liked the book.

Haidt does a wonderful job mixing wisdom from ancient texts with a thoughtful coverage of modern happiness science. It’s a welcome change from the sometimes polly-annish world of happiness books.
